I gave it a shot and was blown away as to how much you can shrink your images down. I’m not completely sure how it works and not completely sure why 40 is the “sweet spot”, but I can’t find any visual difference in the images once the layer is applied.
Combine this with ImageOptim and you can cut your image sizes down by at least 40%. That’s insane.
